2025 NYSSO Events - Division B:
- Wind Power, State Tournament: Important Reminders:
- Rule 2(c): Teams may bring one pre-constructed device. Teams bringing more than 1 device or not having a pre-constructed device will have their maximum voltage multiplied by 0.9 as per rule 7e.
- Rule 3(a) & 3(b): Modification of the disc is NOT allowed (except to affix blades via tape, glue, etc.). The central disc must be standard according to rule 3(a) and contain the entire data or media storage and remain un-changed. The penalty for a construction violation is VERY steep which is a zero score for both speed trials.
- Road Scholar, State Tournament: Teams will need to secure the Colorado-Wyoming AAA map.
- Road Scholar, Regional Tournaments: Teams will need to secure the Delaware, District of Columbia, and Virginia (all-in-one) AAA map. The Event will be based on the current July 2024 version of the all-in-one map.
2025 NYSSO Events - Division C:
- Helicopter, State Tournament: This Event will be held in the Grewen Auditorium. The ceiling height is 10'9" (3.28m). The Grewen Auditorium will be available for trim flights on Friday, March 21,2025 from 2:00pm-5:15pm. Teams will be permitted as many trim flights as they wish during that time period.
- Materials Science, State Tournament: Pursuant to Rule 5.b. - "Tournaments will specify ahead of time what the pucks will be dropped on." A steel plate will be used at the State Tournament.
